Acton Fair

Thursday, August 21st

Exhibition buildings will be open from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M.  Wrist bands for Midway rides will be on sale from 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. for $15.00.  Ride as many times as you like from 4:00 P.M. until fair closes.

 

9:00 A.M. -      Judging Show Oxen & Steers in Pulling ring.

                          4-H Horse Show in horse show ring.

 

10:00 A.M. -    4-H Beef Showmanship in livestock show ring.

                          4-H Baby Beef Steer Show following the 4-H Beef Showmanship

                          Beef Judging, 4-H and Open Classes following the 4-H Baby Beef

                                       Show.

 

10:00 - 2:00 P.M. - Guild of Spinners and Weavers under tent at

                               Extension Bldg.

 

12:00 Noon -    Clipping Demonstration for dairy animals in dairy barn.

                          Midway Rides Open

 

1:00 P.M. -      Farmer’s Exhibition - Oxen on Scoot, in pulling ring.

                          Miniature Horse Demonstration - Tent by Goat barn

 

3:00 P.M. -      4-H Llama Showmanship in livestock show ring.

 

4:30 P.M. -      4-H Llama Costume Parade in livestock show ring.

 

5:00 P.M. -      Milking Demonstration in dairy barn.

 

6:00 P.M. -      Garden tractor pull in pulling ring.

 

6:30 P.M. - 4-H Llama Obstacle Course in livestock show ring.

 

 

Friday, August 22nd

 

Senior Citizen’s Day (From opening until 4:00 P.M.)

9:00 A.M. -      Draft Horse, Pony and Mule Exhibition in horse show ring.

                          4-H Dairy Showmanship in livestock show ring.

 

9:30 A.M. -      Steer and Ox Pulling in pulling ring.

 

10:00 A.M. -    Dairy Judging, 4-H and Open Classes in livestock ring.

 

10:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M.  Demonstrations by Extension Hall

 

12:00 P.M. -    Midway Rides Open

 

12:30 P.M. -    Dairy Judging continued.

9:30 A.M. -      Acton Fair will recognize some of the people who have

                          Advanced the cause of Agriculture in York County.

 

9:45 A.M. -      Grand Parade

 

11:00 A.M. -    Midway Rides Open

                          Horse Pulling following the parade in the pulling ring.

 

1:00 P.M. -      4-H Goat Showmanship in livestock show ring.

                          Judging 4-H Goats following showmanship classes.

                          Judging 4-H and Open Sheep Classes following Goat show.

 

3:00 P.M. -      The Kayla Wass Show, On Stage

 

4:00 P.M. -      Horse pulling continued

 

4:30 P.M. -      Chocolate Chip Cookie Contest

 

5:00 P.M. -      Milking Demonstration in dairy barn

 

6:00 P.M. -      Hay Contest in livestock show ring.

 

7:00 P.M. -      4-H Quiz Bowl Finals in livestock show ring

Sunday, August 24th

 

Exhibition buildings will be open from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.  Wrist bands for Midway rides on sale from noon until 4:00 P.M. for $15.00.  Ride as many times as you want until 5:00 P.M.

                          4-H Rabbit Showmanship clinic by rabbit barn

 

8:30 A.M. -      Interdenominational Church Service in Grandstand

 

9:00 A.M. -      4-H Members Rabbit Showmanship by rabbit barn.

 

10:00 A.M. -    Antique Tractor Club Tractor Pull

 

10:00 A.M. -    4-H Sheep Blocking Contest in livestock show ring.
